St Luke's Hall Hire

Hiring St Luke's church facilities

At St Luke's Church, Grayshott we have a variety of facilities available for use for individuals and families, community and music groups, as well as organisations and schools.

The unique layout of St Luke's offers the opportunity for its space to be used in a variety of ways. Its location offering good access to Grayshott village, the A3, Waggoners Wells, Devils Punchbowl and other lovely beauty spots in the area.

As well as our main church which is available to book, there are a number of smaller rooms within the church office building which work well for both small and larger scale events.

Rooms available -

  • Main church space – please see below for specifics. The pew removal team can remove pews to enable a bouncy castle to go up if required by prior arrangement of the Vicar.
  • Church Hall – our largest meeting space which has access from the driveway in front of the church. Tables and chairs available. Smart TV enabling screen sharing and HDMI connection. Please note it is a low ceiling, so no bouncy castles are allowed. Up to 40 people can seated for a meal, or 60 for a presentation.
  • Barnabas - ground floor small meeting room, suitable for 10-12 people. Kettle available for to make teas and coffees.
  • Lydia and Dorcas – a large room on the first floor that can either be one big room or split into two smaller rooms. Chairs and tables available.
  • Eunice - Frist floor room suitable for counselling and a meeting with 4-5 people.

Our toilets are situated in the building beside the church, with access either through the church hall or via the front door by the office. Two toilets are located on the first floor with one downstairs along with a disabled toilet.

Our kitchen has two ovens and hob along with various crockery and cutlery available. There is also a dishwasher. All instructions and procedures are listed within the kitchen.

Please note our church hall is not available for use on Fridays between 5 and 10pm during term time as it is in use with our youth group. This can only be altered via prior agreement with the Vicar and the Youth Worker.

Hire of the Church

The following information is important to note -

  • St Luke’s church is able to sit approximately 350 people comfortably without staging, with staging this reduces to around 300.
  • The sound system and projector is available for use at the discretion of the Vicar.
  • Heating is available during the months October through to March. The church takes a long time to heat up and keeping the main door closed helps make sure as much of the heat is retained rather than lost.
  • All fire exits and access points must be kept clear.
  • A ramp is available for step free access into the church - this needs two people to operate it safely.
  • You will need to submit a risk assessment to the office two weeks before your event. This includes approximate numbers of people expected to attend.
  • There isn’t a charge for schools and organisations to use the church. But we do have running costs, therefore a donation would be appreciated and an amount to cover the cost of heating during the winter months. This is set at roughly £7/ hour.
  • There is no parking available in the church driveway apart from the one disabled space. Additional disabled and general parking is available in the church car park on the other side of the office building.
  • Please leave the space, as you found it, clean and tidy, taking away any rubbish.
